Mitiga Secures $30 Million Series B Funding to Expand Cloud Security Solutions
Mitiga, a New York and Israel-based startup specializing in cloud security solutions, has successfully raised $30 million in a Series B funding round led by SYN Ventures. The investment signals strong investor confidence in the company's innovative approach to threat detection and response tools for cloud environments.
The funding will enable Mitiga to accelerate its growth strategy, including expanding its presence across the United States and Europe. The company plans to invest in enhancing its AI-driven platform, developing new cloud and SaaS integrations, and building strategic partnerships.
Along with the funding announcement, Mitiga also made two significant leadership appointments. John Watters, a cybersecurity industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, was named Executive Chairman. Watters brings extensive knowledge from his previous roles, including President and COO of Mandiant, which was acquired by Google for $5.4 billion.
Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Founder of SINET, has joined Mitiga's Board of Directors. His background as a former Special Agent with the United States Secret Service and his expertise in growing security operations will provide valuable strategic insights.
Tal Mozes, Co-Founder of Mitiga, emphasized the company's mission to protect organizations from complex cloud and SaaS threats. The platform enables security teams to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents over 90 percent faster than traditional approaches.
The company has already secured several blue-chip customers, including Blackstone and New American Funding, who praise Mitiga's ability to provide rapid threat intelligence and comprehensive cloud security solutions. With this latest funding, Mitiga is well-positioned to continue innovating in the rapidly evolving cloud security landscape.
